Backup then Repeat

I hope the new year has been well to you and all your resolutions are intact <grin>. One resolution I hope you made is a back-up strategy for your important work. Imagine the moment after your hard drive crashes beyond recovery. If your first response is panic, you need a strategy! It’s not a matter of if but when your hard drive fails. It will fail. You know you have a good plan or strategy in place when you can be reasonably comfortable when this happens. Consider using a backup program to set up what and when to backup or do it manually. Invest in a couple, yes that’s 2, hard drives devoted to this exclusively. Buy archival DVDs to store on and again make multiple sets, and if you have the choice when burning to the DVD use the slowest speed possible. Feeling more comfortable? Thank you for letting SP News come to your in–box.

Video
We recently teamed up with Fast Forward Productions and lit the current United Way campaign TV spots as well as spots for the Quilted Bear now with a more upscale look! All were shot in hi-definition. The QB spots were produced by Pow Creative with Micquelle Corry & Matt George at the helm. “It should look like a funky basement apartment with morning light beaming in.” “8 or 10AM, Southeast or Northwest corner apartment?” I asked.

Stuck in Your Head
You gotta love ’em. Chevy and the Chevelles. Have you got the tune out of your head? This spot was shot at KJZZ and produced by Brady Peterson of LHM Advertising. He’s the guy in the orange hat. The guy taking his direction is Dennis Lyman, cameraman extraordinare. That’s Brian the in the middle, sign painter extraordinaire. We provided the lighting.

Photos in Wonderland
We photographed the November feature issue for Wasatch Fine Living magazine. This issue featured some very well equipped and customized playrooms for children. The homes were exclusively from the Highland Utah area. We’re not talking sandboxes with extra sand!
