Attachment Disorders of
the eMail Variety  Part 2
Image: Attachment Disorders of the eMail VarietyIn last month’s Attachment Disorders Part 1, we offered some tips for unlocking the secrets for successfully sending and opening eMail attachments.

In this issue’s Document Disorders, to end our series, we give you the mother of all guides to the most commonly used and sent file formats. You’ll recognize them, I’m sure; but what do they mean and when do you need or use each one? They are not just hieroglyphics! Read on to learn about some of the popular document extension types...and when and how to use them in your work. Just click on any of the “dot extensions” to learn its function.

This was the title of an article we photographed for a publication of the American Psychological Association. The article dealt with a new Utah Psychological Association initiative helping residents and member psychologists alike appreciate and overcome religious difference. Leading this program are Drs. Steve Morris (L), Paula Swaner and Mark Owens (R).
NEW TRACY AVIARY EXHIBIT

Earlier this year we photographed the signage that will lead you through the new Destination Argentina exhibit at the Tracy Aviary which opened in July. All photography was done on location at the aviary.

Making Sense
of eMail
Part 2: Document Disorders
by Richard Phillips
Attaching a document to an eMail is easy. Knowing for certain that the recipient of your eMail has a program that can read your document is another matter.

This month I cover several common document formats and explain how their use will affect the recipients of your eMail attachments. Of course I won’t go into every file format but I will hit upon those that are most frequently.

Unlike my previous tome (“Making Sense of eMail, Part 1: Attachment Disorders”), this second article in the series should be thought as more of a reference. Within the “Article Links” box, simply click the document type you are interested in and you’ll be whisked right to the desired information.
